Annual Meeting Notice - April 26, 2008
On March 19, 2008 the Alunmi Association purchased a House at 440 N Campbell in Macomb for the undergraduates. A dedication ceremony will take place on April 26, 2008. The Alumni Association Annual Meeting will be held in conjunction with the dedication ceremony. An annoucement was sent via US mail. Click here to download a copy of the announcement. The new house needs some repair work, as it is nearly 100 years old. The foundation needs some structural repair, all windows need replacing, baths remodeled, porches rebuilt, and the parking area resurfaced. If you are interested in contributing to this effort, the Alumni Board and undergrads would greatly appreciate your help. Please contact any Board member or click here to email us. For those that contribute, a plaque with names and ΚΘ's will hang prominently in the House as you enter. This is a major event in our history at WIU.

Kappa Theta Chapter Advisor Dies
With sadness we report that Larry Zoochi, the Kappa Theta Chapter Advisor has passed away.
Dr. Zoochi, our campus adviser, passed away Monday after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
It was in remission, but came back last week and he went down hill fast.

The Annual Meeting for Kappa Theta Alumni Association (Alpha Kappa Theta Association of Theta Xi, Inc.) was held on Saturday, May 19th at Hooter's in Downers Grove, IL. Twelve alumnae were on hand for complimentary food and beverages sponsored by the Alumni Association. A good time was had by all. Business topics discussed included finances, re-chartering at WIU, the search for a new "House" at WIU, a 2008 Summer Reunion, upcoming special events and Board elections.
Please mark your calendar for late June 2008. This is the target for the next Reunion. Details are in the works and you will be notified once an exact date has been determined.
We are also planning two outings for this Summer and Fall. We are checking into securing a skybox for a Sox game. The target is a Saturday evening in August.
Also, WIU plays U of I in football this season. The game will be played at U of I in Champaign on Saturday, September 8th. We are trying to get a block of tickets for the game.

Theta Xi Fraternity at Western Illinois University, Kappa Theta Chapter has officially been chartered. The ceremony took place on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at the Annual Founders Day Formal held at the Hilton Gardens Inn in Springfield, Illinois.
More information will follow on this website after the Annual Meeting to be held on Saturday, May 19, 2007 (See April 6, 2007 update below).

Update
Theta Xi at Western Illinois University, Kappa Theta Colony will officially become a Chapter once again on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at the Annual Founders Day Formal. All Alumni are welcome to attend.
The Formal will be held in Springfield, Illinois at the Hilton Gardens Inn.
The ritual will begin at 5:30pm followed by a ceremony and dinner at 6:30pm. Anyone who has any questions or wishes to attend can contact Andy Dwyer via email at aj-dwyer@wiu.edu.

It is that time of year again...the Alumni Association Annual Meeting. The Kappa Theta Alumni Association Annual Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, May 19th at Hooters in Downers Grove. The meeting will start at 2:00 PM.

To the Alumni:
As many of you may have heard
Theta Xi Fraternity has been restarted at Western Illinois University.
Some might not of known to what extreme Theta Xi was moving. We held many meetings to prepare for our meeting with the Inter Fraternity Council; our work paid off and both the IFC and more recently the Vice President of Student activities approved
us. We have a great group of twenty-four guys who are now anxiously
awaiting colonization and initiation. We've held elections for President,
Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. Many of our guys are very active
on campus, with sports, clubs, and we have many different majors. We have
already built a great sense of brotherhood and other fraternities on
campus are very intimidated by the amount of guys that we have. We are
planning to have some social events with other sororities and fraternities
to try to get close with the rest of the Greeks on campus. All of our
members look forward to meeting alumni that are interested in getting to
know the new Theta Xi, and we look for to learning from your experiences
here at Western, to help build our experiences.
